Course Details
How the programme works
Part 1 – AHA HeartCode BLS Online
Complete the American Heart Association HeartCode BLS online learning before attending the practical session. This covers the knowledge component of the BLS Provider programme and can be completed at your own pace.
Part 2 – AHA BLS Practical Skills
Attend the face-to-face practical session to develop and demonstrate high-quality CPR, AED use, ventilation and team-based resuscitation skills.
Part 3 – Anaphylaxis Management
The Anaphylaxis Management session follows the BLS practical training and takes approximately 1.5 hours. It covers recognition and emergency management of anaphylaxis, with practical training in the use of adrenaline and current methods of administration.
Certification
Following successful completion of the HeartCode online component and BLS practical skills session, participants receive an American Heart Association BLS Provider eCard, valid for 2 years. Anaphylaxis Management certification is also provided.
